Wedding Prep: Engagement Ring & Studio Package

Woo, 2 more days before wrapping up 2011. A little too busy to summarise my 2011, but it had been an awesome year!

Experienced rollercoaster of emotions, went through tears & joy, got baptised and confirmed in the church, settled the house and preparing for our future together with The Pau …

WOO! Words can’t explain how I feel, now that I look back upon 2011 with memories.

Though the wedding prep is still majorly not settled, here are some stuff that we have confirmed:

1) The engagement ring

We actually shopped for the engagement ring together (HAHAHA). Mr Pau didn’t felt at ease though I gave him the specifications.. He’s sweet enough cos he wanted me to have THE ring I really wanted ♥

: )

Ring: Jann Paul Diamonds

I am not particularly concerned with the carat size, more towards the color and clarity though (Hehehe).

The diamond is a modified cut – cushioned Brellia, AGS certified. The specs is exactly the “dream” diamond I thought of earlier: Color E, VVS1, 0.468 carat ♥

Though I am quite particular about service, I am totally impressed by the guys at Jann Paul. Prompt, professional and smiley. And you get to really learn about diamonds, unlike in the retail jewellery shops out there.

Pictures don’t do this gem a justice, cos in real life, it sparkles with brilliance and is so clear and white in color ♥

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

2) Bridal Studio Package

We are kinda different in the sense that we confirmed our package earlier than the wedding venue.

I am glad we did! Cos the bridal studio takes a little longer to process the photos.

And we are with My Dream Wedding.

Some pictures by MDW:

So far the experience had been great with MDW. Met them at the roadshow and they were all smiley, sincere and friendly.

Just that when we went over to the shop for an “orientation” and fixing of PS date, the photographer attended to us, and made some comments that weren’t very nice.

Like commenting on the LCD monitors of our church that doesn’t make the picture look nice (ERM), and it is very difficult to take nice photos at the church (DOUBLE ERM). And talked about some Singaporean ladies can’t carry off certain kind of gowns from their premium range (ERM ERM ERM).

Anyway.. Haha, still a pleasant experience and I think the package is really a steal la, so still quite happy. Tee hee hee!

The Pau Story – Special Cut Edition 2009 to 2011

Many times when people asked how did Mr Pau and I met, Mr Pau would probably said: “Pub!”.

And most of our friends would be having the *eyes wide emoticon* look. Hahaha!!

Way back in 2009 when we just knew each other:

LOL! How much we have changed through the 2 years ;p

Then it was my birthday (first with The Pau), and Mr Pau just returned from a Taiwan holiday with his buddies. And he bought me this giant Doraemon.

It’s quite funny to see how we have changed through the days of knowing each other.

And finally it came to getting the ring sometime in Dec : )

Some pictures he took on his own for a surprise he planned. Hahaha!

Sometimes people can say a lot of things, but I think what is important is that we keep going ahead. Times when I want to give up totally, I am thankful for The Pau to be always there encouraging me and keep us close together.

Totally looking forward to finalise the wedding plans for 2013, and welcome in our house in 2014 : )

19 Days and Beyond

Woo, counting 19 days to wrap up 2011. Haven’t exactly reviewed my plans for 2012 (had some unexpected changes :)).

So overly swamped with work, which is a good thing for me. Ain’t complaining, I hope I have some time for Christmas celebration.

Also kinda busy trying to get wedding stuff settled, so things can just fall in place, and we can concentrate and focus on work. The cost of “moving to the next stage of our lives” is kinda overwhelming though ;p

I can finally understand how a girl can turn into Bridezilla – when the property agent requests documents from you who makes u feel like the agent is the customer (who doesn’t seem to understand meaning of last minute), when you have to balance parents’ expectations vs ur dream wedding, when you have to re-source for the dinner venue and package over and over again. Top it off, you have to work.

BAH. I’m still trying to take away the negative thoughts.

;p

Over the weekend, went for McD’s promo:

And a housewarming…

Sunday lunch at Shin-Sapporo Ramen..

Went for facial (finally!) at Clementi Mall..

Dinner at the hawker centre : D

Engaged

Spent the Sat night shopping and looking for wedding bands (though very early ;p) and a movie.

And gotten 1 of the most memorable weekends with Mr Pau.

It was meant to be a surprise. Poor Pau had to come up with a lot of ideas since we got the diamond ring together.

Which include this picture he took on his own:

Sunday lunch was well-spent at this new fast food joint.

Life is indeed blessed : )

The Last of the 20

Such a happening November. Haha!

Last week:

And this week, my birthday week! : )

Cake the guys lovingly gotten, for another colleagues and mine birthday!

My first candle blowing experience this year ; p

This month had been “happening” in the sense that Mr Pau and me squeezed and confirmed a couple of stuff – the ring, gowns and pre-wed shoot, and most importantly, our home : )

Went to the showflat yesterday. To my dismay, 1 of the agents (processing the paperwork and application I guess) there pi**ed me off big time.

I lost my temper on the spot, in front of Mr Pau’s mum and grandma -_-

My excuses probably include my inability to cope with my hectic schedule this week, the frustrations from proof of income and job for HDB side, and the hard press for time.

To praise the agent representing us, she was very nice and provided us with a lot of info for both resale and the DBSS. The only “trigger” was when we wanted to confirm 14th level, but it was (ALAS!) sold, we felt so disappointed.

To top it off, she commented: ya lor, still want to walk (see the showflat) somemore?

-_-

Yes but I think it’s a little of occupational hazard. I can’t tolerate bad service or the lack-off sound advice (esp HDB). I only wished she had been more empathetic towards our situation then (some words of comfort would have been really nice too).

To conclude, my half-past-six HDB and CPF knowledge wins hands down.

Erm…. Okie, I shouldn’t dwell on such nitty gritty stuff. I suppose my challenge is to still be cordial towards haughty, snobbish people who think they know everything.

Lalalala *skips away*

We were so blown away by the design that we decided on the spot : )

Thanks to Mr Pau who had been very understanding to my work and been so generous in everything we have made plans for.
